This recording was done live, in a closed session, at the Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis. In addition to close-mic-ing everything (drum overheads and piano were done in stereo), we used a pair of mics out in the seating area to capture the natural reverb of this incredible space. Everything was mixed live to DAT (2 track), with no processing or effects used. The 2-track mix was then transferred into the computer for editing and mastering (minor compression and normalization is all that was needed) from which CD-R copies have been produced as needed for demo purposes.
